WHO WE ARE

OUR WORSHIP

Our WORSHIP is inclusive, which means we embrace a blend of worship preferences, drawing upon the best of what is new and old, innovative and traditional, current and historical, free and structured.  We enjoy praise through music and song from our worship band, piano, and choirs (vocal and handbell); preaching that is grounded in the authority of God's Word; and prayer before, during, and after the service.  Children and adults together share in the worship during the opening elements, after which our young ones are dismissed to their TPC Kids time.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our COMMUNITY is "inter-generational", which means we span in ages under 1 to over 90, all who engage together in worship, study, and mission.  We have a robust children's and youth ministry, adult discipleship groups, and senior fellowship activities, all seeking to embody what it means to live in genuine love and hospitality for one another, regardless of where we may be in our journey toward wholeness.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Templeton Presbyterian Church is to cultivate a community of people who know they BELONG to Jesus Christ to help them BELIEVE in who He is and BECOME who He is calling them to be!

OUR THEOLOGY

Our THEOLOGY is "Christ-centered".  Read more about that in "WHAT WE BELIEVE".

OUR TEAM

Pastor Roger Patton

Pastor Roger is a native Tennessean having lived most of his life in the Nashville, TN area.  He is a graduate of Belmont University, Memphis Theological Seminary and a current doctoral student at the Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA.

Pastor Roger comes to Templeton Pres. from the Nolensville Community Church of Nolensville, TN, where he was the founding pastor.  Pastor Roger has been in the ministry for over 20 years having served as a student pastor, interim pastor, adjunct faculty member and Senior pastor.  His passion for ministry is to make the Bible alive and relevant for today’s generation and to shepherd both congregation and community as the hands and feet of Christ.

In his spare time, he likes to work out, collect records, enjoy nature and as his wife likes to say; “play around in the dirt.”

Pastor Roger is married to Keris and together they have two children: Hunter and Hannah.  The Patton’s are very proud to call Templeton home and they are excited to serve this congregation and community.

Shelly Pinney

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES DIRECTOR

Shelly came to the central coast from the Bay area in 2017.  She comes to Templeton Presbyterian Church from Community Christian of Morgan Hill, CA. Her time spent with children and involvement in education has always brought her the strongest sense of joy. She has been volunteering with our youth group since 2023 and embarked on the Hume Lake Winter Camp with the local High School students in January 2024. She holds a strong passion for ministering to young families, mothers and children in their walk with Christ, and has many exciting things in store for our Children's ministry.

When Shelly isn't at church, she enjoys swimming, spending time with her son Wyatt, and loves to cook and play pickleball!
