There is a ministry for everyone

TPC Kids

Our Mission:  Partnering with parents to make disciples by teaching and encouraging kids towards a lifelong joyous relationship with Jesus.

TPC Youth

Templeton Presbyterian Student Ministries exists to live out the gospel of Christ in the lives of students and their families, inside our congregation, school campuses, and local community.

Adult Ministry

Adult ministry offers opportunities to come together and study God's Word.  Topics vary throughout the year.
Contact church office for times and locations of current study groups.

Women's Ministry

Our Women's Ministry at TPC is a place for women of all ages to draw closer to God and His Word, as well as to one another.  While the roles of women are endless, we all need a place to be grounded in His love, to be equipped and refreshed for His service, and to be encouraged and loved well by one another.  We hope that through purposeful events and groups at TPC, all women will find a place where they are seen and known, and can continue to grow.

Some of our groups and events include:

-Tuesday & Thursday morning bible studies

-IF: Gathering conference (early February)

-Prayer gatherings (last Thursday eve of the month)

-Christmas Tea

-Spring Brunch

Worship Ministry

It takes a whole group of folks to make our Sunday morning service come together.  Our ushers serve as greeters and general helpers.  Our Chapel Attendants are available for prayer after the service.  Our Fellowship Hosts set up coffee and treats to enjoy after Worship.  In addition, we have a wide variety of music styles, including our Praise Band, our Adult Choir, and our Bell Choir.  Click below to read more about each of these groups.

Missions Committee

The Mission Committee coordinates and supports the various talents and interests of our congregation in both local and international outreach.  A few of the ministries we support...
Locally: Front Porch Student Ministry @Cal Poly, El Camino Homesless Organization (ECHO), Angel Tree Christmas gifts for local children, MLK Day of Service

Internationally: Zozu Project in Arua, Uganda; Threshold Ministries in Linjiang, China; Lifewater International; Samaritan's Purse; Amani Child Development Center, Kenya

Prayer Shawl

Prayer Shawls are prayers made tangible.  Shawls are knitted (or crocheted) and prayed over for the recipient during the making.  The group prays over them before they are given out, in hopes that the recipient will feel the love of God and their fellow Christians each time they wrap themselves in the shawl.
This group meets monthly.

The Deacons are the caregiving arm of the church, offering sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ.  Deacons prepare and serve communion for those unable to attend church, provide bereavement receptions after memorial services, and offer benevolence gifts to those in our congregation and others, locally and nationally, who are experiencing adversity.  Each deacon has an assigned parish made up of TPC covenant members or regular attendees.  In addition, the deacons operate a prayer chain passing along requests brought by the office, the pastor, or other covenant members.

Voyagers is an adult fellowship group for interested folks within or outside our church family.  Our goal is fun and fellowship under God's guidance.

Our monthly activities have included local tours, luncheons, guest speakers, movies, plays, concerts, and games.  Contact the church office or check the monthly Templetones newsletter (see RESOURCES) for activity information.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a national ministry of one-to-one Christian care-giving founded in 1975.  Currently, over 13,000 congregations provide this caring ministry.  TPC has provided Stephen Ministry for nearly 20 years to members of our congregation and our local community.  Our Stephen Ministers are trained to listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals going through difficult times.  The care we provide is confidential, free, and very helpful, for as long as is needed by the care receiver.  Contact the church office for more information.

Prayer Ministry

Our Prayer Team meets Tuesdays at 9:00am in the TPC Library.  The team prays over requests from the congregation and community as well as for national and international needs.  If you have a prayer request, please contact the church office.
