WHO WE ARE

OUR WORSHIP

Our WORSHIP is inclusive, which means we embrace a blend of worship preferences, drawing upon the best of what is new and old, innovative and traditional, current and historical, free and structured.  We enjoy praise through music and song from our worship band, piano, and choirs (vocal and handbell); preaching that is grounded in the authority of God's Word; and prayer before, during, and after the service.  Children and adults together share in the worship during the opening elements, after which our young ones are dismissed to their TPC Kids time.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our COMMUNITY is "inter-generational", which means we span in ages under 1 to over 90, all who engage together in worship, study, and mission.  We have a robust children's and youth ministry, adult discipleship groups, and senior fellowship activities, all seeking to embody what it means to live in genuine love and hospitality for one another, regardless of where we may be in our journey toward wholeness.

OUR MISSION

Our MISSION is "small town/big world", which means we are committed to involvement in local missions such as feeding the hungry and housing the homeless (e.g., ECHO), reaching out to students (e.g., Youth for Christ, Front Porch Cal Poly), as well as global missions such as water resources in third world countries, orphanages and schools in Uganda, China, and Thailand (e.g., ZOZU), justice for abused women in India (CSJ), and supporting churches in areas of persecution in the Middle East (Turkey, Iran).

OUR THEOLOGY

Our THEOLOGY is "Christ-centered".  Read more about that in "WHAT WE BELIEVE".

OUR HOPE

Introduce people to Jesus
Include people in His church
Imitate His life
Ignite service in His name
Inspire glory for God

OUR TEAM

Pastor Roger Patton

Pastor Roger is a native Tennessean having lived most of his life in the Nashville, TN area.  He is a graduate of Belmont University, Memphis Theological Seminary and a current doctoral student at the Talbot School of Theology in La Mirada, CA.

Pastor Roger comes to Templeton Pres. from the Nolensville Community Church of Nolensville, TN, where he was the founding pastor.  Pastor Roger has been in the ministry for over 20 years having served as a student pastor, interim pastor, adjunct faculty member and Senior pastor.  His passion for ministry is to make the Bible alive and relevant for today’s generation and to shepherd both congregation and community as the hands and feet of Christ.

In his spare time, he likes to work out, collect records, enjoy nature and as his wife likes to say; “play around in the dirt.”

Pastor Roger is married to Keris and together they have two children: Hunter and Hannah.  The Patton’s are very proud to call Templeton home and they are excited to serve this congregation and community.

Frank Prebor

STUDENT MINISTRIES DIRECTOR

Frank felt called to ministry when he was 15 years old and has been making strides to pursue that calling ever since. For the past two years he has interned with Atascadero Bible Church, first with Youth Ministry then with Adult Ministry. Frank has a gift and a heart for teaching, preaching, and learning more about his heavenly Father. He is passionate about Youth and teaching the next generation more about God, Jesus, and the Bible. He also emphasizes discipleship and one-on-one mentoring as part of his ministry, seeking to meet with students in order to further God's kingdom. Frank is also very involved with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and YFC (Youth for Christ). This is Frank's first full-time ministry position and he is excited to be serving our Youth and Church.

Frank has lived in the Central Coast his whole life and enjoys watching baseball and football and occasionally playing them as well. He also loves playing golf and disc golf. When Frank isn't helping at church, he loves spending time with his family and friends.
